Teach Correct Sequencing Early

Learning a new movement is far faster than unlearning an old one. Get them early.

“Teach correct sequencing early,” Coach Wollman says. “Learning a new movement takes far less time than unlearning an old one and then remapping the brain the correct way.”

It’s why he loves working with young throwers — and why a thrower’s first coach matters so much. Build the right sequence from the start, and you skip years of undoing bad habits. It’s the single biggest argument for getting the right eye on an athlete early.
