Proprioception & Feedback: How Throwers Really Learn

Thought controls movement. The body sends feedback to the brain. That loop is how a throw becomes automatic.

Most coaching stops at instruction: “do this, then that.” Coach Wollman goes a layer deeper, to how the body actually learns. Thought controls movement; the body feeds information back to the brain; the brain adjusts. That feedback loop — proprioception — is the engine of every skill.

When a thrower understands the feedback their own body is giving them, practice stops being repetition and becomes learning. The athlete can feel a correct position instead of just being told about it — and that’s what makes a movement repeatable under the pressure of competition.

This is the foundation beneath every drill in the Second Eye system. Master the feedback, and the technique follows.
